Hello and welcome! I’m Neal Brugman and I have been a practicing psychologist for over 15 years. I have worked with hundreds of clients from diverse backgrounds which has helped me understand the ways in which we as humans tend to get stuck and suffer as a result. While I enjoy seeing all kinds of people, my passion has become helping men of all ages gain insight into themselves and their relationships and learn how to live richer, more meaningful lives.
Training and Experience
I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from the University of Denver, where I received extensive clinical training in therapy and psychological assessment. My practical training was in a wide variety of settings including university counseling centers, community mental health centers, and health management organizations. I completed an APA-approved internship at the University of Denver’s Health and Counseling Center where I counseled students, faculty, and staff. Following graduation, I completed a postdoctoral residency at Kaiser Permanente in Pleasanton, California where I furthered my experience providing services within an integrated healthcare system. I returned to Denver and was a staff psychologist at Regis University’s Office of Counseling and Personal Development for several years before going into private practice full time. Currently in addition to my practice, I supervise students at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology and serve on the board of the Colorado Psychological Association.
